Our CANSI-certified Dawn Mountain Ski School instructors are excited to share the joy of cross-country skiing with you. Whether you are a beginner cross-country skier or wishing to hone your technique, your instructor will tailor their lesson to meet your needs. Our instructors have many tips and tricks that will help you safely negotiate the trails and hills and make your cross-country skiing more efficient.
Booking a Lesson (at least 48 hrs prior to lesson or more)
Email us your request or inquiry at info@goldennordicclub.ca. The earlier you book, the more chances that we can accommodate your request. Less than 48 hrs notice may be considered if an instructor can be found.
When emailing us with your request, please let us know the following:
What technique you would like to be taught? Classic or skate?
What level you are at? Beginner, intermediate, or advanced?
Will you require rental equipment?
Are you looking for a 1 hr or 1.5 hr lesson? (recommended 1 hr for beginners)
Payment (at least 24 hrs prior to confirmed lesson)
The club expects payment for your lesson at least 24 hrs prior to your confirmed lesson (arranged date and time). This is to give our instructors security for coming up to Dawn Mountain for your lesson. Club members receive 10% discount towards their lesson fee (applies to all club members in the lesson).
Your options for payment are as follows:
Online - Using the payment buttons below for the specific lesson you have booked using our secure Square payment system.
e-transfer your confirmed total amount to payments@goldennordicclub.ca.
In person at the Dawn Mountain Chalet. Payment options in person are VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Interac, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and cash.
Waiver and Assumption of Risk (prior to lesson)
Before arriving for your lesson, read the waiver. You will be asked to sign this in person at the Chalet before your lesson. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your lesson for this.
Cancellation Policy
Less than 24 hours - Refund less a 20% admin fee.
You do not show up for your lesson - Refund less 50% admin fee or refund less 20% admin fee if paying for another lesson.
In the event that the club needs to cancel a lesson due to weather conditions or instructor unavailability, we will reschedule the lesson.
Private Lesson (1 person)
1 hour $80 + 5% GST
1.5 hours (*) $120 + 5% GST

This provides the best learning environment with one-on-one attention from the instructor.
Golden Nordic Ski Club members receive a 10% discount.
(*) 1.5 hour lessons requests are only considered for experienced skiers.
Semi-Private Lesson (2 people)
1 hour $120 total / $60 per person + 5% GST
1.5 hours (*) $180 total / $90 per person + 5% GST

1 hour $50 per person + 5% GST
1.5 hours (*) $75 per person + 5% GST
